Olayinka Fawumi

Olayinka Fawumi currently serves as Lead Legal Counsel at Recurrent Energy, where responsibilities include leading the O&M legal function, overseeing contract negotiations, and managing compliance and risk to align with business objectives. Previously, Olayinka was Manager of Legal O&M at Canadian Solar Inc., providing legal solutions for energy and infrastructure projects while collaborating with various departments to ensure project sustainability. Olayinka's earlier experience includes roles as an Associate at Hogan Lovells, Legal Support/Consultant for The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and an Associate at Bkc Legal Practitioners, where engagements included cross-border transactional work and dispute resolution. Olayinka began a new position as a Member of Counselwell in October 2023, contributing to a community for in-house lawyers. Educational qualifications include a Master of Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute, a Barrister of Law from the Nigerian Law School, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Obafemi Awolowo University.
