Associate Director, Real Estate at Recurrent Energy

Scott Leonard has a diverse and extensive work experience in the real estate and legal fields. Starting in 1992, they worked as a Word Processor at U.S. Trust. From 1994 to 1997, they served as a Corporate Secretary at White & Case LLP, assisting with corporate mergers and acquisitions, business litigation, and real estate matters. Scott then became a Corporate Secretary at McDermott Will & Emery LLP from 1998 to 1999.

In 2000, Scott joined Verrill Dana, LLP as a Corporate Secretary and Paralegal, specializing in corporate mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and hostile takeovers. From 2002 to 2006, they worked as a Real Estate Paralegal at Stoel Rives LLP, focusing on real estate transactions.

Scott joined Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in 2006 as a Real Estate Paralegal, working until 2008. Scott then joined Farella Braun + Martel LLP as a Senior Real Estate Paralegal, where they concentrated on solar energy development facilities and financing of vineyard properties, including title and survey review, mineral rights management, and genealogical research.

In 2015, Scott shifted their focus to the renewable energy sector and started working at Recurrent Energy as a Manager of Real Estate. Scott managed lands for potential development of utility-scale solar facilities, overseeing land and financial closing deadlines, conducting closings on large land assets with complex title issues, and providing real estate research and advisement. Scott was subsequently promoted to the role of Senior Manager, Real Estate, where they continued to manage land for solar development projects. As of September 2022, Scott holds the position of Associate Director, Real Estate at Recurrent Energy.

Scott Leonard attended Westbrook High School from 1984 to 1988, where they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. Following their time at Westbrook High, Scott went on to attend New York University from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. The field of study for their BFA at New York University is unknown.
