Spivey Paup has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Spivey began their career as a Sales Associate at Harold's from 1995 to 1997. Spivey then worked as an Intern at Texans for Rick Perry in 2000 before joining the Winter Olympics 2002 Salt Lake City as an Events Services Specialist from January to March 2002.
Following this, Spivey Paup was employed by the U.S. House of Representatives, Office of Congressman John R. Carter. Spivey served as an Intern from September 2002 to January 2003, then as a Legislative Correspondent from January to May 2003, and finally as a Legislative Assistant from May 2003 to May 2006. Spivey was subsequently promoted to Senior Policy Advisor, holding the position from May 2006 to August 2007.
In 2008, Spivey Paup joined E.ON, where they held several roles over the span of nine years. Spivey started as a Development Associate from June 2008 to December 2009, then worked as an Assistant Development Manager from January 2010 to June 2011. Spivey was promoted to Development Manager and served from July 2011 to April 2012 before becoming a Solar Development Manager from July 2012 to October 2014. In their last position at E.ON, they worked as the Director of Solar Development from October 2014 to July 2017.
Currently, Spivey Paup is employed at Recurrent Energy, where they have worked since July 2017. Spivey initially held the position of Director of Development until May 2020 when they were promoted to the role of Managing Director of Development, which they currently hold.
Spivey Paup has an education history that includes a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Texas McCombs School of Business, which was obtained from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, Spivey Paup earned a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and Business from Texas A&M University, completing the program from 1997 to 2001.
In addition to formal degrees, Spivey Paup also holds a Certificate in Spanish from the University of Salamanca in Spain, although the specific dates of completion are not provided.
