Erik Toren

Erik Toren's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Erik started their career at Sewells Marina in 2004 as an Operations Manager. In 2011, they joined Mercury Transport Inc as a Commercial Vessel Operator & Operations Manager, where they were responsible for operating water-taxis, scheduling, maintenance, and safety training. In 2019, they joined RecycleSmart as a Sales Coordinator and Business Analyst. Erik worked in these roles until 2023 when they moved to Recycle Track Systems as the VP Business Compliance North America.

Erik Toren completed their Master's Program in Sustainable Development, with a focus on Project Management, from Uppsala University between 2015 and 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Global Resource Systems from The University of British Columbia. During their time at UBC, which spanned from 2011 to 2015, Erik studied various disciplines such as Environmental Design, Applied Biology, and Microbiology. In 2006, they obtained a Certificate in Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Management from Capilano University, where they studied until 2008.
