John Kwon

John Kwon has over 25 years of work experience in the field of systems engineering and computer network exploitation. John is currently working as a Principal Systems Engineer at Red Alpha, where they started in March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Interclypse as a Principal Systems Engineer from January 2021 to March 2023. From 2016 to 2020, John served as the Vice President of Computer Network Exploitation at SYSTOLIC, Inc. Before that, they worked at Prime Solutions, LLC as a Senior Systems Engineer from December 2012 to September 2016. John also has experience working as a Senior Systems Security Engineer at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory from 2004 to 2012 and as a Technical Director for Security and Evaluations at the United States Department of Defense from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they served as a Department of Defense Contractor at SAIC Advanced Technologies & Solutions from 1999 to 2001. John began their career as a Software Engineer at RWD Technologies, Inc. in 1998 and Andersen Consulting in 1996. John also worked as a Software Engineer at the TRW Global Change Initiative Division (GCID) from 1995 to 1996.

John Kwon received their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 1995. Then, they pursued higher education and earned a Master of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering in 2003.
