Ang Cui, PhD

Ang Cui, PhD, is the CEO & Chief Scientist of Red Balloon Security, a cybersecurity provider and research firm specializing in the protection of embedded devices across all industries. Ang has been with the company since December 2011 and is responsible for leading the development of their suite of host-based firmware security solutions. Prior to that, Ang worked as a Network Administrator at D.E Shaw & Co from September 2006 to August 2009.

Ang Cui, PhD obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Embedded Security from Columbia Engineering, where they studied from 2008 to 2015. Prior to that, Ang attended Columbia College, a part of Columbia University, although the specific degree and field of study are not mentioned. Before their undergraduate studies, Ang attended Stuyvesant High School.
