Mario Stein has a comprehensive work experience spanning several companies and industries. Mario began their career as a Store Clerk at Dade Cycle in 1988. Mario then moved on to Iwasaki Electric Company, where they worked in the International Business Division, managing sales and distributors for the industrial lighting division in Spain, France, and the Nordic markets.

In 1996, Mario joined The Gillette Company - Braun as a Brand Manager for PaperMate Pens. Mario later took on the role of Brand Manager for the MACH3 brand in North America, where they were responsible for advertising, media planning, sports marketing, retail and national promotion planning, sales and distribution analysis, and sampling initiatives. Mario also led the development and marketing of youth-targeted shaving products and initiated sports marketing initiatives across Europe.

In 2005, Mario became a part of Proctor & Gamble after the acquisition of Gillette. Mario served as a Business Director and later as a Marketing Director, responsible for the Braun appliance business and Oral Care in North East Asia.

Mario's career continued at Cannondale in 2009, where they served as the President of Japan. Mario then joined Cycling Sports Group in 2010, taking on the role of Vice President for Asia Pacific and later Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets. In these positions, they oversaw marketing, sales, and operations for the company's full portfolio of bikes, apparel, and accessories in various regions, including Japan, Australia, China, and global independent distributors.

In 2014, Mario joined Johnson & Johnson as the President and later the Area Managing Director for North East Asia. Mario was responsible for overseeing the company's operations and leading strategic initiatives in the region.

Most recently, Mario worked as the President and Representative Director at Dr. Ci:Labo Co., Ltd, Japan's No. 1 Medical Cosmetic Company. The company is now a part of Johnson & Johnson.

Currently, Mario Stein holds the role of President Japan at Red Bull, starting in April 2021.

Mario Stein has a diverse education history. Mario completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology at the University of Miami from 1986 to 1991. In 1988, they participated in a Study Abroad Program at the University of Glasgow. The following year, in 1989, they engaged in Intensive French Language Studies at the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour. Mario further expanded their education by attending a Study Abroad Program at Sophia University from 1990 to 1991, where they focused on Japanese Studies, Business, and Economics. Later, they pursued an MBA degree in Marketing at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, completing it from 1994 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Mario obtained a certification in Design Thinking: Customer Experience from LinkedIn in April 2020.
