Jose Ignacio Sanchez

Jose Ignacio Sanchez is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the digital economy and smart cities. Currently serving as the Deputy Manager of Digital Economy at Public Entity Red.es since May 2004, Jose Ignacio has been instrumental in directing and coordinating the operational functions of the Digital Economy Department. In addition, Jose Ignacio leads initiatives concerning Smart Cities, including the development of the Spanish National Strategy and managing evaluations for public funding in this area. Previous roles include Head of the Environmental and GIS Application Unit at Schlumberger-SEMA, where Jose Ignacio oversaw international IT projects. Jose Ignacio's academic background includes a Master's degree in Chemistry from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a Master's in TIC in the Healthcare System from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, and ongoing studies in Economy at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
