Pedro Garcia

Pedro Garcia has over 17 years of work experience. Pedro began their career in 2002 as a Software Engineer Sr. at Block Networks, where they developed tailored software systems solutions and created an ERP. In 2003, they became a Product Manager at Multimedios Redes, where they negotiated with suppliers to create new products to be offered to medium enterprises and corporate businesses. In 2005, they joined Farmacias Benavides as a Category Manager, where they managed multiple categories of industrial sectors and led multifunctional teams from different areas. From 2010 to 2011, they worked at DEC Despacho Elizondo Cantú, S.C. as an Information Security & IT Business Principal Consultant, helping organizations discover business opportunities and aligning strategies with Information Technology. In 2011, they joined Cautio Grupo Censere as an Awareness & Compliance Consultant, supporting organizations in meeting their state of maturity in information security through risk analysis. Pedro also became a Member of ISACA in 2012. In 2014, they were appointed Director at Banorte, where they were responsible for the Information Security Management System, Communication, Awareness and Training of Information Security, and Risk Management and Compliance. In 2018, they co-founded Red Girasol and became the CTO.

Pedro Garcia obtained their Bachelor of Electronic Systems Engineering from the Tecnológico de Monterrey from 1997 to 2001. Pedro then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration from EGADE Business School from 2004 to 2007. In 2011, they obtained an ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Lead Auditor certification from The British Standards Institution in July. Finally, in 2013, they earned a CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) certification from ISACA in September.
