Red Hook Initiative
Melissa D. Elliott is an accomplished social worker and consultant with extensive experience in organizational consulting, coaching, and education. Currently serving as a board member for the Association of Nonprofit Specialists and an organizational consultant for the Red Hook Initiative and KINGS AGAINST VIOLENCE INITIATIVE INC, Melissa also founded AGAPE Family Therapy and Coaching, where services include clinical support in various therapeutic formats and specializations. With a role as an adjunct professor at New York University, Melissa teaches practice competencies to BSW students while previously mentoring MSW interns at The City University of New York. Additionally, Melissa held leadership positions at Grace Institute, significantly contributing to social services and participant engagement. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Social Work from New York University and ongoing doctoral studies in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Capella University. Melissa also holds certifications as a professional coach and in entrepreneurial operations from Babson College.
