Del Bobish has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 1992, they began their career as a Transportation officer in the US Army, where they worked until 2000. During this time, they also worked as a Supervisor at Container Freight Station from 1992 to 1995. In 1995, Bobish transitioned to the role of a Truck Driver at Marine Container Services, where they worked until 1997. From 1997 to 2000, they worked as a Truck Operations and Yard Manager at Howland Hook Container Terminal. In 2000, Bobish started their own business, Del Bobish Trucking, where they served as the Owner and President until 2002. Del then joined Port Newark Container Terminal (PNCT) in 2001 as a Senior Terminal Manager and worked there until 2018. In 2018, Bobish took on various roles at Red Hook Terminals, including Executive Vice President, General Manager, and Chief Operating Officer.

Del Bobish received an honorable discharge from the US Army, where they studied motor transportation and obtained a degree in 88 Mike Motor Transportation. Prior to that, they attended Brookdale Community College for a year and the Marine Academy of Science and Technology (M.A.S.T) for four years. Del also holds additional certifications as a Green Belt, Kaizen Facilitator, and WEDG Associate from various institutions.
