Rosemary Milkins PSM has over 40 years of work experience in the public sector. Rosemary began their career in 1976 as a High School Teacher for the NSW Department of Education. In 1988, they moved to the NSW Board of Studies as a Senior Policy Officer. In 1991, they returned to the NSW Department of Education as a Principal Education Officer. In 1997, they moved to the NSW Department of Health as the Director of Executive and Corporate Support. In 2007, they joined the Department of Premier and Cabinet (NSW) as the Assistant Director General of Public Sector Workforce and Director of Corporate Governance. In 2010, they became the Deputy Chief Executive of Fire & Rescue NSW, leading all business functions and organisational reform. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Director at 40 Learnings Consultant & Advisory Services, providing consultancy and advisory services on reform programs, including implementation, particularly in the government sector. Currently, they are an Independent Board Member at Red Piranha, an Australian IT company, offering advanced cyber security solutions.
Rosemary Milkins PSM has an extensive education history. Rosemary began their studies in 1967 at Prendergast Grammar School in Catford, London, UK. In 1972, they attended Macquarie University where they completed a Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Education, and a Teaching Certificate in English, Rosemary'story, and Education by 1976. Rosemary then returned to Macquarie University and obtained a Master of Arts in Education in 1982. In 1990, they became a Member of the Australian College of Education. Finally, in 2013, they graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
