Christina Suggs

Christina Suggs has a strong work history in the education sector. Christina began their career as a Teacher at Red River Parish School Board in 1997, where they worked until 2000 before briefly teaching at Desoto Parish Schools. From 2001 to 2005, they served as a 3-year-old teacher at The Jeannette Lawson Family Center, where they also worked with teen parents on parenting skills. In 2005, they returned to Red River Parish School Board as an Early Childhood Coordinator, overseeing birth-5-year-old programs and coordinating enrollment. Most recently, since 2019, they have been the Head Start Director at RED RIVER PARISH SCHOOL DISTRICT, where they are responsible for implementing and overseeing the Parish Head Start Program.

Christina Suggs attended Martin High School from 1988 to 1993. During this time, they pursued a high school education without specifying a particular field of study. Following their high school education, Christina went on to Northwestern State University from 1993 to 1997. There, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching.
