Essence Robinson has had a diverse range of work experience. Essence began their career in 2008 as a Medical Office Assistant at Faith Family Physician, where they greeted and logged in patients, performed office duties, and prepared treatment rooms. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Teacher Assistant at Oklahoma State University, organizing presentations, grading papers, and assisting with evaluations. Essence then joined Baylor Health Care System as a Rehabilitation Assistant from 2012 to 2013, where they interviewed patients, assisted with dressing and toileting, and transported clients to treatment areas. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Care Coordinator at Red Rock Behavioral Health, where they demonstrated the ability to work with diverse populations and coordinated necessary services. Lastly, they held roles of increasing responsibility at Red Rock, serving as an Assistant Project Director from 2016 to 2017 and as a Project Director starting in 2017. In these roles, they ensured compliance with agency requirements, served as a liaison with community agencies, and completed necessary paperwork.

Essence Robinson attended Oklahoma State University from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology. It is not mentioned that they obtained any additional certifications.
