Diego Acevedo

Diego Acevedo is a Researcher and Senior Lecturer at the University of Aruba, contributing to the 'Valorization of Reverse Osmosis Brines' program in collaboration with KU Leuven. Diego is also the Owner and Director of Happyponics VBA, a hydroponics farm dedicated to producing high quality local produce in Aruba. Additionally, Diego holds various advisory and development roles in companies such as ENEDA, Red Sea Farms, UINI BV, Oceans of Energy, and Allseas. With a background in sustainable energy technology and engineering, Diego's expertise extends to ocean thermal energy solutions and waste management initiatives in the Caribbean region. Diego is committed to fostering sustainable entrepreneurship and economic growth in Aruba, as seen through their involvement with organizations like the Aruba Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
