Dirk van den Boom is a seasoned professional in the biotechnology field with extensive leadership experience. Currently a Co-Founder and member of the Board of Directors at RedDrop Dx since October 2019, Dirk also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the San Diego Chapter of March of Dimes, a role held since December 2015. Previously, Dirk held the position of President and CEO at Juno Diagnostics from August 2017 to August 2023, and served in various executive roles at Sequenom, Inc. from December 2008 to September 2016, including President & CEO and Chief Scientific Officer. Additional board experience includes a tenure at CombiMatrix and a significant history at SEQUENOM Inc., where Dirk progressed through several research and development leadership positions from 1998 to 2007. Dirk van den Boom earned a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Hamburg between 1995 and 1998.
