Jennifer Chan

Director, Learning And Leadership Development at Redeemer Presbyterian Church

Jennifer Chan has a diverse work experience. Jennifer started their career as an English Teacher at The SMIC Private School in 2001. Jennifer then worked as a Youth Organizer at the Boston Youth Organizing Project from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, they joined Fount of Mercy as an Education Officer, where they created and tested curriculum and presented teaching materials. Jennifer also worked as a Program Coordinator - Congregational Life at Redeemer Presbyterian Church from 2007 to 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they served as a Capacity Building Officer at Kivulini Women's Rights Organization. Jennifer returned to Redeemer Presbyterian Church in 2011 as an Interim Fellowship Group Coordinator, overseeing volunteer leader training and programming coordination. Jennifer then joined UNICEF U.S. Fund in 2012, first as a Program Officer for End Trafficking and then as a Manager for Engagement and Advocacy. Jennifer returned to Redeemer Presbyterian Church in 2016, initially as a Project Manager in Learning and Leadership Development and later promoted to Director in the same department.

Jennifer Chan has an Ed. M in International Education Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Jennifer also holds an Honors Bachelor of Science in Biology and Political Science from the University of Toronto.
