Chief Program Officer at REDF

Chief Program Officer Carrie McKellogg is responsible for implementing REDF’s bold 2021-2025 strategic plan that centers the work on people of color and those who share the lived experience of the people they employ. Carrie works closely with staff and stakeholders of the organization to expand REDF’s funding and business advisory services nationwide to serve growing employment social enterprises and the people they employ. Carrie also serves as the CEO of the REDF Impact Investing Fund, which was recently awarded CDFI certification.

After fifteen years in international policy and development, Carrie came to REDF because of its clear mission focus and unique, market-based approach to supporting enterprises that create jobs for those who need them most. Inspired by core values that promote good communication and inclusion, she’s committed to using innovation to achieve REDF’s goals and ensure it remains a leader in the field. A graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Political Science and Portuguese and Spanish Literature, Carrie also has an MA in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Together with REDF CEO Carla Javits, Carrie authored an article for the Federal Reserve Bank’s What Works Series in 2017, “Toward the North Star: Reorienting Workforce Development to Improve Long-Term Outcomes”.
