Pavol Loffay

Pavol Loffay is a Principal Software Engineer Team Lead at Red Hat since May 2021, where responsibilities include leading a team of five engineers, managing technical delivery, and mentoring. With extensive experience in distributed tracing and observability, Pavol has contributed significantly to multiple open-source projects, serving as a committer for Jaeger, OpenTracing, and OpenTelemetry since February 2017 under the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at Red Hat and Traceable AI, and various engineering positions at Eclipse Foundation and Honeywell. Pavol holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Masaryk University Brno, a Master's degree in Software Engineering & Internet Computing from Technische Universität Wien, and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Brno University of Technology.
