Melissa York

Melissa York is an accomplished publishing professional with extensive experience in editorial roles. Currently serving as a Senior Editor at Redleaf Press since December 2019, Melissa acquires and develops 10–15 books annually focused on early childhood education, fostering strong author relationships. Prior to this, Melissa was an Imprint Managing Editor at Red Line Editorial, where responsibilities included overseeing the production of up to 500 nonfiction books each year and implementing processes to enhance project efficiency and quality. Melissa's earlier roles at Pearson (AGS Globe), Wisconsin Historical Society Press, and Wisconsin Magazine of History involved editing educational materials and projects, all supported by a strong academic background with a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Lawrence University.
