Sean Poynton, P.Eng, PMP has diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Sean is currently the Director of Module Engineering at Redlen Technologies Inc. Sean'sprevious role was at Raytheon ELCAN, where they served as the Associate Director of Engineering. Prior to that, they held several positions at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, Toyota, Schaeffler KG, and Engineering Concepts Niagara. Additionally, Sean has had experience with volunteer work at Engineers Without Borders Canada, Nepal River Conservation Trust, and Himalayan Mountain Bikes. Sean started their engineering career as a summer intern at ABC Group.

Sean Poynton, P.Eng, PMP has a diverse education history spanning various fields of study. Sean began their education at the University of Toronto from 2006 to 2010, where they pursued a degree in Engineering and Applied Science with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. During their time at the University of Toronto, Sean also participated in an exchange program at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 2008 and 2009, further enhancing their knowledge in Mechanical Engineering.

In 2002, Sean attended the Sault College of Applied Arts & Technology, where they obtained a Diploma in Technology specializing in Aviation Technology - Pilot program, which provided him with a comprehensive understanding of aviation and pilot operations.

Expanding their skillset, Sean attended Mohawk College in 2013 and 2014, engaging in PLC Programming studies, which enhanced their expertise in this area.

Seeking further advancement, Sean is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) in Optics/Optical Sciences at the University of Rochester. Sean has enrolled for this program from 2021 to 2023 and plans to continue until 2024.
