Bryan Blackburn

In his role at Redox, Bryan brings more than 10 years of experience in device and system design, leading interdisciplinary teams, and project management. He is an expert in the area of solid state devices, including electrochemical systems such as solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). Bryan develops relationships with key partners and leads development of Redox’s products as well as manufacturing scale-up of the company’s SOFC and stack technologies. Prior to Redox, Bryan was a Fellow at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), where he co-managed an energy-efficiency technology development program. As an entrepreneur and consultant he has also conducted a variety of techno-economic analyses for alternative energy technologies and developed award-winning business plans. In other capacities, Bryan has developed various technologies and products ranging from packaged electronic devices to the scale-up of a nanoparticle synthesis process.
