Elma S. Hawkins

Elma Hawkins is the current President and CEO of Redpin Therapeutics, as well as a co-founder of the company. Prior to their work with Redpin, Hawkins held the position of Director of Corporate Development at Genzyme from 1994 to 1996. Elma also served as Executive Chairman at Quiet Therapeutics from 2016 to 2017, and President and CEO at Lion Biotechnologies from 2014 to 2016. Hawkins has also been the Founder and CEO of Viridian Pharmaceuticals from 2004 to 2014, and the Director of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs at BioSurface Technology (Genzyme Tissue Repair) from 1990 to 1994. Prior to their work in the private sector, Hawkins was a Senior Fellow at the Center for the Study of Drug Development at Tufts Medical School from 1989 to 1990. Elma began their career as a Clinical Scientist and Drug Director at Warner-Lambert/Parke-Davis from 1985 to 1989.

Elma Hawkins received their MBA from Boston University Questrom School of Business.
