Steven Reinkemeyer

Steven Reinkemeyer began their career in 2000 as the Chief Information Security Officer for the US Navy, responsible for 412 facilities worldwide. In 2002, they joined the Naval Postgraduate School as a Computer Science student, where they completed over 100 hours of instructional/practical labs in network attack/defense methodologies and had their Pentagon-published thesis on automated vulnerability scanning/patching methods/best practices to thwart attacks. In 2004, they returned to the US Navy as the Chief Information Officer, where they developed comprehensive policies and implemented new processes to address operational issues on numerous platforms, received numerous awards and accolades for departmental efficiencies and outstanding customer service, and successfully directed several large-scale projects from initiation through delivery at an estimated $4M in services and assets implementation. In 2010, they joined Redport Information Assurance as President & Chief Executive Officer, providing corporate vision and strategy, responsible for providing strategic leadership and effective communications to establish company goals, and motivating and retaining key talent and implementing appropriate accession plans. Steven also served as Cyber Security Transition Manager, providing senior level oversight and transition management of the work order for cyber security operations transition, and creating skills assessment matrix to realign and correct position deficiencies across all cyber security divisions. Additionally, they served as Cyber Security Program Manager, delivering a comprehensive gap analysis with a $30M capital expenditure remediation road map, creating and managing a Cyber Incident Management Center, and directing cross-training activities across disparate teams to leverage numerous IT disciplines within an evolving incident response team.

Steven Reinkemeyer received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management, General from Saint Leo University between 1995 and 1997. Steven then obtained a Master's degree in Management and a Master's degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University between 1999 and 2000. In 2002, they obtained several certifications from the National Security Agency, including NSTISS 4011, NSTISS 4012, NSTISS 4013, NSTISS 4014, and NSTISS 4015. Steven also obtained their CISSP certification from ISC2 in December 2001. In 2009, they obtained a C|EH certification from the EC Council, and in 2011 they obtained a CRISC certification from ISACA. Finally, in 2014, they obtained a CCSK certification from the Cloud Security Alliance. In 2004, Steven Reinkemeyer completed their Master of Science in Information Systems Technology Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.
