Dr. Asma Ali Abunaib

Dr. Asma Ali Abunaib currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Champlain Valley School District since June 2022 and is a member of the Board of Directors for Vermont Community Loan Fund since April 2022. In addition, Dr. Abunaib has been a Senior Advisor at Three Stones International, LLC, focusing on adult education and civil society networking in Africa since August 2020. As an Associate Trainer for REDR UK since November 2014, Dr. Abunaib contributes training expertise. Previous roles include Project Manager for the New American Financial Empowerment Project, Teaching Assistant at the University of Vermont, Programs Coordinator at Care International Switzerland in Sudan, outreach coordinator at World Learning, and National Field Coordinator for UN-OCHA in Sudan. Dr. Abunaib holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Vermont, a Master's degree in Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management from SIT Graduate Institute, a Graduate Diploma in Peace and Development Studies from Juba University, and a Bachelor of Science in Textile Sciences and Engineering from Gazira University.
