Katey Hannaby has a diverse work experience in the field of strategy and branding. Katey currently holds the position of Associate Director of Strategy at Redscout, where they started in January 2023. Before that, they worked as a Brand Strategist at Oatly from April 2022 to January 2023. Prior to their role at Oatly, Katey was employed at Redscout as a Senior Strategist from May 2021 to April 2022, and as a Strategist from March 2020 to May 2021.

Katey Hannaby completed their high school education at TASIS from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a High School Diploma. Following this, they pursued further education at Auckland University of Technology from 2013 to 2016. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Management, with a minor in Economics.
