Carly Silberstein has a diverse background in event and project management, marketing, and business development. Carly began their career as a Marketing & Event Coordinator at KCI Management Inc. in 2011 and later became an Event Department Manager, Social Media & Business Development at Managing Matters Inc. from 2012 to 2015. During this time, Carly oversaw the event department and managed team dynamics to create a cohesive and motivated team atmosphere.
In 2015, Carly transitioned to The Bigwin Group, where they served as the Director of Marketing & Business Development. In this role, they led initiatives to increase brand recognition and company growth. Carly identified strategic partnerships, prepared pitch presentations, and negotiated partnerships within Canada and the United States.
Carly joined Redstone Agency Inc. in 2015 as the Chief Executive Officer. At Redstone, they managed events and associations and focused on driving growth in clients' organizations and making a positive impact in the communities they serve. Carly's work involved identifying and addressing areas of untapped potential in operations and management practices.
In addition to their work in the industry, Carly also served as an Instructor for the Event and Project Management course at Western University's Continuing Studies program in 2017. Carly'sgoal in this role was to provide students with a comprehensive view of event management, drawing on their industry experiences to set the next generation of professionals up for success.
Carly Silberstein holds a Post-Degree Diploma in Marketing from Western University, which was achieved from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Sociology & Criminology from Western University, completing it between 2005 and 2009.
Additionally, Carly has acquired several certifications throughout their career. In 2014, they obtained the Hootsuite Social Media Management Certificate from HootSuite Media Inc. The Digital Event Strategist (DES) certification was acquired in December 2016 from PCMA. In February 2018, they obtained the Certified Event Designer (CED) certification from Event Design Collective GmbH. Carly became a Virtual Event & Meetings Management (VEMM) certified professional after completing the program offered by the Event Leadership Institute in January 2021. In April 2021, they became a Certified Hopin Agency Partner through Hopin. Most recently, in July 2021, they acquired the Hybrid & Virtual Event Director Certification from the Event Leadership Institute. Carly is also a Certified PheedLoop Partner, obtained from PheedLoop in January 2022.
