Romano S. has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries.

Romano began their career in 2014 as an Associate Software Engineer at ACI Worldwide, where they performed patching and integration work on released product branches and tested new patches. Romano continued to work at ACI Worldwide until 2016, gaining experience as an Associate Software Engineer.

In 2016, Romano transitioned to a tutoring role at Stellenbosch University, where they helped students with their studies for a year.

After their time at the university, Romano joined innovation4life (Pty) Ltd. as a Research and Development Engineer in 2016. In this project management role, they applied a design and development process, constructed technical specifications documentation, and considered ISO 13485 standards. Romano also engaged in rapid prototyping.

Later, they transitioned to the role of Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, where they developed custom-built test architecture, integrated industry tools with CI/CD pipelines, and continuously developed custom tools to automate manual QA tester tasks. Eventually, they took on the position of Senior Quality Engineer, focusing on the continual improvement of automated QA processes and testing tools, mentoring and upskilling the team, and integrating quality platforms and processes.

Romano S. completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechatronic Engineering from Stellenbosch University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Romano later pursued a Master's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the same university, completing their studies from 2016 to 2018.
