Derek Hilson

Derek Hilson is an experienced professional in energy consulting and management, currently serving as an Energy Consultant at Redwood Coast Energy Authority since June 2017. Previous roles include General Manager at Humboldt Bay Tourism Center and Co-Founder of Humboldt Adventurewear, an outdoor lifestyle company. Derek has significant experience in research and analysis from a position at Yardi, as well as financial advising and admissions at Anthem Education Group. Earlier experience includes energy auditing and outreach for the Redwood Community Action Agency. Derek holds a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science from Oregon State University and a BA in Geography and Creative Writing from Humboldt State University.
