Andre Epstein has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2007 with an internship at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda as a Press and Public Affairs Intern. In 2011, they began working with the Fulbright Program as a Research Scholar, where they developed a network for advocacy on the issues of food security and food sovereignty in east Africa, and researched uses of mobile technology for promotion of food security and social justice advocacy. Later that year, they took on the role of Public Relations and Development Consultant at MFarm LTD(K), where they were responsible for writing grants, press releases, and website content, as well as communication with partners and relevant organizations and businesses, and providing strategic advising on product delivery, target population identification, and food security applications for mobile technology. In 2012, Andre Epstein worked with the French Institute for Research in Africa as an Editor and Consultant, where they revised and edited internal reports and public evaluations of NGO projects working in the informal settlements of Nairobi, and edited and advised on academic research papers on the impacts of climate change on pastoralists in northern Kenya. Also in 2012, they worked with the Danish Refugee Council / Dansk Flygtningehjælp as a Program Assistant and Research Assistant. Finally, in 2017, Andre Epstein began working with Redwood Community Services, Inc as an Integrated Care Manager and Crisis Operations Coordinator.

Andre Epstein obtained a BA in History from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2005, after attending the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2004-2005. Andre then went on to complete an MA in International Policy, History, and Political Science from Stanford University in 2009.
