Michael Marty

Michael Marty has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael'smost recent position is Director of Security at Redwood Materials since April 2021. Previously, they held the role of Director at Garrison starting from May 2018. Prior to that, Michael has had a significant tenure at Tesla, where they held multiple roles including Senior Manager Security, Security Manager, Global Investigations Program Manager, and Global Lead Investigator from November 2018 to April 2021. Michael also served as the Chief Investigator at the Douglas County District Attorney's Office from March 2017 to November 2018. Before that, Michael worked as a Detective at Nevada Department of Public Safety and served as a Deputy Sheriff-K9 Handler at San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Michael has a strong background in intelligence and investigations, having served as the Intelligence Group Supervisor at the Northern California Regional Terrorism Threat Assessment Center from October 2001 to September 2005, and as the Computer Forensic Supervisor at the Northern California High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area - Computer Forensic Unit. Michael started their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they rapidly progressed through the ranks and achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant before leaving in 2002.

Michael Marty obtained a Stanford LEAD: Personal Leadership Certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a B.A. in English from National University and studied Criminal Justice at American Military University. Michael also completed a Certified Computer Examiner Course (Computer Forensics) in 2002. In 1993, they obtained an A.S. in Fire Science from Cabrillo College. Michael has additional certifications in General Amateur Radio from the Federal Communications Commission and Unmanned Aircraft General from the Federal Aviation Administration. Michael'shigh school education was completed at Lynbrook High School.
