Neel N.

Neel N. has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Neel is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Redwood Software, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, Neel worked at Ribbon Communications for five years as the Director of Software Engineering, where they were responsible for delivering the Ribbon Virtual and Cloud Native Edge Session Border Controller. During their time at Ribbon Communications, Neel also led a team that developed several roadmap features for the SBC Edge product series, working with popular UC platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Zoom, and Twilio.

Before their time at Ribbon Communications, Neel worked at Sonus for six years in various roles, including Associate Director, Sr. Engineering Manager, and Distinguished Software Engineer. In this position, they managed the Sonus SBC Edge product team and built a team of 12 engineers to deliver roadmap releases. Neel was also instrumental in introducing the virtualized SWe Edge and SWe Edge in Azure Marketplace and other public clouds.

Prior to their work at Sonus, Neel held positions at Network Equipment Technologies, Quintum Technologies, 3Com, and Wipro Infotech, where they gained valuable experience as a Senior Software Engineer.

Neel N. earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, from 1988 to 1992. Neel then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer Systems Networking from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, from 1993 to 1995.
