Dylan Faerstein

Dylan Faerstein has extensive work experience in the capital markets industry. Dylan began their career at Compass Analytics, LLC in 2009, where they held various roles including Intern, Trader, and ultimately Sr. Hedge Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for valuing mortgage portfolios, measuring interest rate and prepayment exposure, and trading derivatives to mitigate risks for mortgage investors, originators, and servicers. Dylan also engineered and calibrated models used to value assets and measure risk in real time, and provided advisory services to banks, Federal Home Loan banks, REITs, and mortgage lenders on hedging interest rate risk and trading mortgage assets. In 2015, Faerstein joined Redwood Trust, Inc. as Vice President, Capital Markets, and later advanced to the role of Senior Vice President.

Dylan Faerstein earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from UCLA in the years 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, Dylan received a High School Diploma from The Branson School between the years 2001 and 2005.
