Chris Thompson

Chris Thompson is a seasoned professional in advanced manufacturing engineering with extensive experience in the automotive sector. Currently serving as the Head of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at REE Automotive, Chris leads the development of global manufacturing strategies for electric vehicle platforms, focusing on tooling, robotics, automation, and production readiness. Previously, Chris held key roles at Arrival, overseeing the launch of the first MicroFactory and establishing a maintenance function, as well as at BMW (UK) Manufacturing Ltd, where responsibilities included managing production operations and technical processes across various capacities. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The Open University and additional qualifications in automotive industrial management and building services engineering.
