Dimitris Assimakis

Dimitris Assimakis is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the Greek energy sector. Since January 2021, Dimitris has served as a Partner at Reed Smith LLP, leading the Greek energy practice. Prior to this role, Dimitris was a Partner at Norton Rose Fulbright from December 2007 to January 2021, where key transactions included significant projects in renewable and conventional energy. Dimitris also co-headed the energy, utilities, and infrastructure practice at KYRIAKIDES GEORGOPOULOS Law Firm from August 2000 to November 2007, playing a pivotal role in foundational projects in the Greek energy market. Additional experience includes positions as a Legal Counsel at the Ministry of Environment and as a MEP Assistant in the European Parliament. Dimitris holds an LLM in EU and International Law and a Bachelor of Laws from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, along with a postgraduate certificate in Accounting from the University of Piraeus.
