Kiran Somashekara

Kiran Somashekara is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in complex regulatory matters and commercial law. Currently serving as a Partner at Reed Smith LLP since March 2020, Kiran previously held the same position at McGuireWoods LLP from March 2016 to March 2020 and served as Counsel at Reed Smith LLP from June 2014 to March 2016. Kiran specializes in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions involving the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and state securities regulators, along with securities litigation, arbitration, and internal investigations. Earlier in their career, Kiran was a Member at Wolff & Samson PC and completed a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Stephen Skillman in the Superior Court of New Jersey Appellate Division. Kiran holds a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Rutgers University.
