Simone Balog-Way

Simone Balog-Way currently serves as the Vice President of Partnerships at REEgen, a role held since September 2023. In parallel, Simone is a Mentor for the Master's of Public Health communication course at Cornell University. Previously, Simone was a Consultant at The World Bank from May 2014 to January 2024, specializing in partnership and communication strategy, as well as serving as a Disaster Risk Management Analyst within the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) Innovation Labs. Additional experience includes roles at the UK Government Office of Science and Isaacson, Miller, alongside positions in environmental advocacy and academia. Simone holds a Master of Science in Geographical Risk Analysis from King's College London, and furthered education through a continuing education course at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Boston College.
