Sara Pocius

Sara Pocius has a long and varied career in the advertising industry. Sara began their career in 2000 as an Art Director at R&R Partners, where they were the Lead Art Director on Circus Circus casino projects. In 2002, they moved to Sullivan Higdon & Sink as an Art Director, where they were responsible for Captain D's Seafood print, in-store promotions, and broadcast concepts. In 2004, they moved to Callahan as an Art Director, where they were the Lead Art Director on a massive rebranding and co-op advertising initiative for the state of Kansas. In 2006, they joined Slack and Company as a Senior Art Director, where they were the Lead Art Director on multiple clients, while supervising three Assistant Art Directors. In 2007, they moved to Havas Chicago as a Senior Art Director. In 2012, they joined Walgreens e-commerce as a Senior Interactive Art Director and Team Lead. In 2014, they began working as a Freelance Senior Art Director for clients such as Critical Mass/Zócalo Group, iCrossing, Adroc, DesignKitchen, ARC Worldwide, and Abelson-Taylor. In 2018, they returned to Critical Mass as a Senior Art Director, where they were the Creative Lead on all Spectrum Internet social content and Art Director on 2020 & 2019 Lactaid Milk Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest campaigns. In 2016, Sara co-founded ReelCrafter, where they serve as the Creative & Strategy Lead. ReelCrafter provides composers, musicians, songwriters, and other audio professionals with the best possible tools for creating and sending private demo reels.

Sara Pocius earned a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Certificate in Art Direction from The Creative Circus.
