Jacob Grozian

Yakov Hrozian has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of product design. Yakov has worked at several companies and has held various roles throughout their career.

Yakov started their professional journey in 2017 as a Freelance UX/UI Designer at Upwork for a brief period. Yakov then joined Other Land as a UX/UI Designer, where they worked on multiple web and mobile projects, including a popular news site and forum in Ukraine, b2b SaaS products, and marketplaces.

In 2018, Yakov gained valuable experience as a Design Intern at Readdle, where they worked on designing the Spark mail WatchOS app. Later that year, they returned to Other Land as a UX/UI Designer.

In 2019, Yakov joined Pix Inc. as a Product Designer. Yakov completely redesigned the app, making it user-friendly and intuitive for Pix customers to control their backpacks. Yakov also designed a new website for direct backpack sales and contributed to the UX design of other products.

During the same year, they also joined RainViewer as a Product Designer. Yakov designed new iOS, Android, Apple Watch, and web apps from scratch, which were well-received by users, resulting in significant downloads, premium subscriptions, and active users.

Yakov's most recent and current work experience is with Reface. Yakov started as a Product Designer in August 2020, where they played a key role in redesigning the swap face feature, improving the user experience, and increasing engagement and retention. In December 2022, they took on the role of Senior Product Designer at Restyle App, a subsidiary of Reface. Yakov has worked closely with co-founders, product managers, lead and tech developers, and the support team to iterate on the content browsing experience and introduce new AI features.

In their role as a Senior Product Designer at Reface App, Yakov has been involved in numerous tasks, including designing lipsync animation, real-time face swapping, placing faces on objects, and creating AI avatars. Yakov has also conducted tests on UX improvements to enhance engagement, retention, and reduce churns.

Yakov briefly took on the position of Product Designer Lead at Reface App in 2022 before returning to their role as a Senior Product Designer. Throughout their career, Yakov has demonstrated their ability to deliver well-designed products, increase user engagement, and contribute to the success of the companies they have worked for.

Yakov Hrozian completed their high school education at the Ukrainian International School, receiving a High School Diploma in the field of High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. The exact start and end years of their education are not provided.
