Piyush Chaplot

Piyush Chaplot is an advisor at ReferralCandy. Piyush previously worked as the general manager at Indigo Blue Art from January 2008 to December 2015.

Chaplot's responsibilities at Indigo Blue Art fell largely into three categories: day-to-day operations, event management, and artist liaison.

For day-to-day operations, Chaplot handled all monetary matters, including cash transactions, drafting of contracts, application for grants, following up on account payables/receivables, general accounting and corporate tax filing. Many of these responsibilities included cross-border transactions, especially with India.

In addition, Chaplot also handled all HR matters such as payroll, absence policies and IR8A, and also managed the company secretary in the preparation of documents such as annual reports, returns, and AGM/EGM minutes.

For event management, Chaplot coordinated all logistics for the gallery’s exhibitions at the gallery, and at international exhibitions such as India Art Fair and Arts Singapore. This included managing shipment, supervising third party contractors and even curating shows.

As artist liaison, Chaplot assisted the Director in managing the gallery’s relationship with artists both local and international. This involved contract negotiation, entertainment, and even artwork selection for shows or consignment.
