Gael Nicolas has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies.
Starting in 2010, Gael worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of South Florida, where they investigated novel therapies for brain tumors and developed a drug delivery system for ovarian carcinomas and gliomas. They also conducted research on faulty burglar bars and their fire hazards, presenting to residential committees and working with local businesses to implement safety measures.
In 2014, Gael continued their research as a Graduate Researcher at the University of South Florida, focusing on their investigations.
In 2015, Gael joined Cornell University, first as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, researching gut microbiome metabolites and developing bio-orthogonal labeling methods. Additionally, they served as the Vice President and Treasurer of the Cornell Advancing Science and Policy (ASAP) group, organizing science policy workshops, science outreach trips, and leading a cohort to the March for Science. Gael also served as an Advisory Board Member for the Cornell BEST Program, planning workshops and speaking as a panelist to advise incoming students.
In 2019, Gael transitioned to Affinivax Inc. as a Research Associate, contributing to their research efforts.
Most recently, Gael joined Refeyn in 2021 as a Technical Sales Specialist, and later was promoted to Senior Technical Sales Specialist in March 2022.

Additionally, Gael obtained a Masters of Science (M.S) degree in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology from Cornell University, where they studied from 2015 to 2019.
