Melanie Gillies

Melanie Gillies possesses extensive expertise in risk and security consulting, currently serving as Director of Consulting - Risk and Security at Reflex Technology Group (RTG) Pty Ltd since February 2017. In this executive role, Melanie oversees the strategy and design of RTG’s risk and security services across Australia, utilizing qualifications as a Lead Auditor in ISO27001 for Information Security Management Systems. Previous experience includes leading risk management initiatives in the education, local government, and nonprofit sectors, and facilitating the implementation of innovative technologies in educational settings. Prior to RTG, Melanie contributed to The Alannah and Madeline Foundation as an Education & Community Advisor, supporting the eSmart Schools framework, and serving as an Education Consultant at Pearson Australia, where training sessions focused on ICT innovations. Academic credentials include a Master of Education in Educational/Instructional Technology from La Trobe University and a Graduate Diploma in Education from Deakin University, alongside a Bachelor of Applied Science from Victoria University.
