Taki Hasegawa

Taki Hasegawa has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. They began their career at New York Mutual Trading, Inc. in 2013 as a Food Safety Director/Quality Control Supervisor. Later that year, they joined Louis Berger as an Engineer and stayed with the company until 2018. In 2018, Taki joined Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc. as a Data Scientist and transitioned to the role of a Machine Learning Engineer in 2019. After two years with Mercedes-Benz, Taki moved on to The Trevor Project in 2020. At The Trevor Project, they held various roles including a Machine Learning Engineer and the AAPI@Trevor, Affinity Group Chair. Taki's responsibilities in these roles included building AI/ML products to support crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ Youth, deploying the Crisis Contact Simulator, prototyping a dialogue act classification model, and performing machine learning research. Currently, Taki is the Head of AI / Founding AI Lead at ReflexAI, a position they started in 2022.
