Colby Tunick, PMP has a diverse work experience. Colby began their career in 2012, working in consultative sales at Target, Lowes, Home Depot, Sears and Roebuck Corporation, and Oaktree LLC. During this time, they held various management positions. In 2015, they began working at San Diego State University as an International Student Center Mentor, guiding new international students while learning about their culture and customs. That same year, they also began working at College of the Canyons as a Researcher in the International Students and Programs Office. In 2017, they started working at DME Business Solutions as a Consultant and Grant Writer, helping private companies penetrate the defense and government markets. Colby also worked at the Center for Information Convergence and Strategy (CICS) as a Researcher. In 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer of ReFocus AI and the Training Coordinator for the California Earthquake Authority.
Colby Tunick, PMP has a notable educational history. From 2015 to 2017, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Security and Conflict Resolution with Distinction from San Diego State University. In 2017, they completed a Winter Fellowship from the World Customs Organization Regional Office for Capacity Building in Baku, Azerbaijan. Colby also participated in a Winter Study Abroad program from 2015 to 2016 at Tel Aviv University, focusing on Conflict Management & Counter Terrorism. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in Learning After Effects 2022 from LinkedIn in April 2022 and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in July 2022.
