Roxy Luo

Roxy Luo is a robotics engineer who is currently working at Refraction AI. Roxy previously worked as a research engineer at the University of Michigan, where they developed a multi-modal 3D place recognition system and a 3D real-time object detection system for autonomous boats. Roxy has also interned at Westwell Lab as a robotics engineer, where they were responsible for high-precision positioning and localization based on ROS for self-driving trucks working in ports. During their time at Westwell Lab, Roxy also implemented serial port drivers, configured and tested multiple sensors on trucks under real operating scenarios.

Roxy Luo has a Master's degree in Robotics from the University of Michigan. Roxy also has a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Information Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Glasgow.

Their manager is Justin Storms, Director, Software Engineering. They are on a team with Changkoo Kang - Robotics Engineer, Mohie Amine - Robotics Engineer, and Jonathan Cha - Platform Engineer.
