Franco Marincola

Franco Marincola has held a variety of roles in the medical and research fields. In 1990, they began as a Tenured Investigator with the National Institutes of Health (NIH): Intramural Research Program (IRP). In 2013, they became the Chief Research Officer at Sidra Medical and Research Center. In 2017, they were a Distinguished Research Fellow at AbbVie. In 2018, they were the President and Chief Scientific Officer at Refuge Biotechnologies, as well as the Chief Scientific Officer at Refuge Biotechnologies Inc., Menlo Park, California, 94025. Currently, they are the Global Head of Research at Kite Pharma.

Franco Marincola obtained their Medical Doctor degree from the University of Milan in 1978, having studied Immunology and Genetics from 1972 to 1978. Franco also studied Medicine at the University of Milan from 1972 to 1978. Additionally, they have been certified by the American Board of Surgery.
