Anella Vokes

Anella Vokes is a dedicated Community Engagement Coordinator at Refugee Council since January 2023, where responsibilities include supporting the London Refugee Advocacy Forum and enhancing the capacities of Refugee Community Organisations. Previous roles include significant contributions as a Community Development Worker in Lewisham and as a project volunteer at Haileybury Youth Trust, focusing on community initiatives and youth training. Anella has a broad background in humanitarian operations, having worked with Save the Children International and Elrha, managing emergency health operations, and providing oversight on grants related to gender-based violence and humanitarian innovation. With a strong educational foundation in Global Development and Gender Studies from the University of Leeds, Anella also held leadership positions in fundraising and policy development within various organizations, reflecting a robust commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting inclusive development.
