Jennifer Gerber

Jennifer Gerber is an experienced public affairs and communications professional, currently serving as the Head of Public Affairs and Policy at the Refugee Council since January 2023. Prior to this role, Jennifer worked as a Political and Communications adviser on a freelance basis starting in January 2022. From September 2020 to January 2022, Jennifer held the position of Head of Communications for the Shelford Group, a consortium of NHS research hospitals. Jennifer's extensive background includes a decade-long tenure as Director at Labour Friends of Israel, and various special advisor roles across multiple government departments, including HM Treasury and the Department of Health and Social Care. Jennifer also has experience in progressive political organizations such as Progress and was a Parliamentary Researcher for Andy Burnham MP. Jennifer completed a degree in History at Durham University from 1997 to 2000.
