Dastan Hamakareem

Dastan Hamakareem currently serves as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning Specialist at Stichting Vluchteling since December 2024. Prior to this role, Dastan worked as the Coordinator of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning at the International Rescue Committee from December 2023 to November 2024, focusing on the development and optimization of MEAL systems. Dastan has also held consulting and managerial positions at Search for Common Ground, where responsibilities included developing climate change policy briefs and managing design, monitoring, evaluation, and learning efforts. Experience includes roles at Save the Children International, International Medical Corps, and various internships. Dastan holds a Master of Science in Violence, Conflict and Development from SOAS University of London and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr, along with a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources Engineering.
