Regional Program Officer East Africa at Stichting Vluchteling

Renée van Hoof currently serves as a Regional Program Officer for East Africa at Stichting Vluchteling, a position held since November 2022. Previously, Renée held interim roles as Field Coordinator for Eastern Europe and Field Coordinator in Lesvos for Stichting Bootvluchteling | Boat Refugee Foundation, focusing on medical and psychosocial support for refugees. Renée's experience includes working as a Policy Officer at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, where the emphasis was on strengthening civil society organizations, and as a Project Manager for Health[e]Foundation, managing educational programs in various African countries. Additional roles include consulting on HIV care in Curaçao and lecturing at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Renée holds a postgraduate degree in International Development from Radboud University and a Master's in International Public Health from VU Amsterdam, complemented by a Bachelor's in Human Movement Sciences from the University of Groningen.
